Cookie Policy: information on cookies on the website

This information explains cookies and describes the various types of cookie on the website (the “Website”).

The company uses these cookies to collect and process personal data relating to you. Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals and the processing of personal data (the “Regulations”), this information explains how we collect these data, the purpose of collection, and your rights. Cookies are small text files sent by sites visited by the user and stored on the user’s computer or mobile device for re-transmission to the originating sites at the user’s next visit. Cookies enable the Website to remember the user’s actions and preferences (such as login data, preferred language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not need to be re-specified when the user returns to the Website or navigates between pages. Cookies are used to perform computer authentication, monitoring of online sessions and storing of information regarding user activity in a Website, and may contain a unique identification code allowing the user’s navigation of the Website to be tracked for statistical or advertising purposes. During Website navigation, the user’s computer or mobile device may also receive cookies (third party cookies) from a website or web server other than the one being visited. In some cases, cookies may be required to enable the Website to function correctly. There are various types of cookie with different characteristics and functions, and these can remain in the user’s computer or mobile device for varying periods of time. Session cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed, while persistent cookies remain on the user’s device until a pre-established expiry date.  Current legislation in Italy does not always require the user’s express consent for the use of cookies. In particular, consent is not required for technical cookies, i.e. those used for the sole purpose of transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or those necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user – in other words, cookies essential for Website operation or for the performance of functions requested by the user. Among the technical cookies that do not require express consent for their use (see, for instance, the General Measure “Identifying the simplified procedures for the disclosure and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies – 8 May 2014”), the Italian Data Protection Authority recognises:

analytic cookies, when used directly by the Website operator to collect aggregated information on the number of users and their mode of access to the Website;

navigation or session cookies (for authentication, etc.);

functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to selected criteria (e.g. language) in order to improve the service provided.

Our Website uses analytic, navigation and functionality cookies.

Profiling cookies, which try to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages based on users’ internet browsing preferences, differ in requiring prior user consent. For further information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 13 of the 2016/679 EU Regulations, see the relevant Informatory Note on the Website. The Website currently contains no cookies.

How to state preferences about the use of cookies.

A summary of the information given above is presented to users. A user who accepts the Website defaults, presses “OK” or “X”, exits from the information by scrolling the page, closes the page or proceeds to browse the Website, gives consent to the use of cookies. Navigation, session and functionality cookies may be blocked or deleted (in whole or in part) through functionality provided by the user’s browser. However, if certain cookies are disabled, the Website or some of its services or functions may not be available or may not work correctly, and/or the user may need to modify or manually enter some information or preferences on each visit to the Website. The methods of disabling cookies in browsers are described below. All browsers allow the use of cookies to be controlled through menu options (“Settings -> Privacy” on Chrome, “Internet Options -> Privacy” on Internet Explorer, “Options -> Privacy” on Mozilla). Further information on the various types of cookie, their modes of operation and their features can be found on the website, which is independent of Atlantica Real Estate and has free access. WARNING: disabling all cookies may cause the Website or some of its services or features to become unavailable or not work correctly, and the user may need to change or manually enter some information or preferences on each visit to the Website. Choices made by a user regarding cookies on the Website will in turn be registered in a special cookie having the characteristics shown in the relevant cookies table. However, in some circumstances this cookie may not function correctly: in such cases, we recommend that unwanted cookies be deleted and their use inhibited through browser functionality. User preferences regarding cookies will be reset if different devices or browsers are used to access the Website.
